Downtown Charlotte Real Estate:: Downtown Charlotte Condos |
 |
Charlotte offers an exciting urban lifestyle found only in larger and older cities. In a very few years a renaissance has taken place in the core of the city. However, unlike other cities, this core is well defined by Interstate highways on all four sides... creating an intimate urban "island" of 4-5 square miles.
The fantastic growth of Bank of America & Wachovia into national powerhouses, plus the presence of Duke Power & others, has encouraged employment in the Center City.... and after employment, housing follows. The population of residents, which has doubled to over 11,000 in five short years, is projected to reach 100,000 by 2026.
You need only a brief tour to feel the energy of the Charlotte downtown condo market - characteristic of the entire Charlotte condo market. |

Over the past few months there has been a definite slowdown in downtown development with some of the previously announced projects being delayed.
